| Receptionist not very helpful or communicative. Lift needs total refurbishment, scratched door, small and slow. Old type TV with bad reception. Bed on small side and not that comfortable. Mini bar poorly stocked with small bottled water at £2.50. Window to hard to open. Hotel tired looking. Although it is perfect location for the town, I would not choose to stay there again. |

| My stay was comfortable and without any major issues. But there were a few little things that make me question the four stars awarded to it. When arriving in our room we only had one set of towels. Our TV Aerial was not plugged in and the remote was missing? So, like I say nothing majorly wrong but there a few little signs of a lack of the personal touch, as if we were just another name on a list. For location you can't get any better. Within easy staggering distance from the centre of town. |

| cobwebs in bathroom. shower head had no holder.charged £12 for parking at front of hotel .not a 4 star hotel more like a 2 star |

| Whilst the room and facilities could not be faulted the staff seemed indifferent as to service, not explaining for example that to make the lights work the room key needed to be in a slot. The restaurant prices were a rip off, plenty of places near to eat at a good price, and £12 per night to park in a dingy multi storey with no lift is a rip off again. The breakfast when I had mine at 0850 must have been cooked a lot earlier - its a long time since I had rubber fried eggs like those - a hotel which is 4 star must do much better than this. |
